Job summary

alpinephysicians seeks a Patient Services Representative to join our centralized call center. You will manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and coordinate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient care in a hybrid/remote role based in the McAllen, TX area.

The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, bilingual in English and Spanish, and proficient with scheduling software and EHR systems. Training onsite for 30 days will be required, with flexible work arrangements afterward

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a high-volume call center.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English and Spanish preferred.
• Professionalism in stressful environments across virtual locations.
• Proficient in scheduling software.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and external partners courteously and professionally.
• Listen actively, gather accurate information, and respond to inquiries, appointment requests, and general questions.
• Route calls to appropriate departments or medical staff as needed.
• Effectively schedule patient appointments and manage the calendar.
• Input and update patient demographics and insurance details in the EHR system.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to privacy regulations.
• Liaise between patients and medical professionals to relay messages and follow-up information.
• Address patient concerns empathetically and resolve scheduling conflicts with relevant departments.
• Stay updated on medical office protocols and participate in ongoing training.
