Job summary

Duke Health's Patient Revenue Management Organization (PRMO) seeks a Patient Account Analyst to support payer relations and denial management across the revenue cycle in a remote, Monday–Friday role. You will collaborate with DUHS and DHIP payers, analyze denial trends, implement corrective actions, and help ensure accurate billing and timely payments across hospital and professional services.

Qualifications

• The Patient Account Analyst is responsible for payer related issues across the revenue cycle.
• Liaises with payers to resolve issues and communicates regulatory updates.
• Assists denial management to reduce denials and improve revenue cycle performance.
• Collaborates with clinical and operational leadership as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with government and non-government payers.
• Engage payers to resolve unpaid accounts.
• Work with contracting management on updates to managed care contracts.
• Provide education and feedback to PRMO leadership and operations.
• Analyze denial trends and root causes to reduce denial volumes.
