Job summary

Scout Clinical, a leading provider in patient reimbursements for clinical trials, is hiring a Patient Liaison for a fully remote role. You will review and approve travel and expense reimbursements, coordinate with vendors, and ensure timely, courteous service to patients and study sites.

The ideal candidate has a BS/BA or equivalent, at least 3 years in customer service or life sciences, and strong MS Office skills. Experience with travel, global currencies, and vendor management is a plus.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within customer service or life sciences preferred.
• Experience working with multiple independent vendors to achieve results on a deadline.
• Experience in travel/hospitality industry is a plus.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, Internet Explorer).
• Ability to modify, edit, and create Excel spreadsheets and Word documents.
• Ability to conduct hotel, venue, and destination research online.
• Ability to work with financial information, including knowledge and understanding of foreign currency and the ability to convert to USD.
• Ability to track and manage key dates/deadlines.
• Timely, professional, courteous correspondence and communication with clients, vendors, and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, study sites, vendors, and related parties.
• Schedule travel requests for patients in clinical trials, including flights, hotel, ground transportation, and special needs assistance.
• Interaction and management of vendors handling travel requests.
• Review travel requests against study parameters and seek approvals where necessary.
• Process expense reimbursements to patients for approved expenses.
• Support study site personnel on using the online portal, including creating/entering requests.
• Complete all required initial and ongoing training within a reasonable timeframe.
