Responsibilities include handling a multi-line phone, using the Cerner scheduling system, confirming appointments, and maintaining confidentiality. Requirements: HS diploma and 1–2 years in healthcare scheduling or reception.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years’ experience in scheduling or reception in a healthcare setting.
• Experience scheduling appointments, registering patients, and verifying insurance information.
• Ability to communicate calmly and clearly with patients on the phone.
• Ability to travel to East Metro locations as a float receptionist.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered customer service using a multi-line telephone.
• Schedule patient appointments using Cerner meeting patients' needs and physician availability.
• Register patients, verify/update data, and prepare welcome packets/letters.
• Verify insurance eligibility and manage referrals as needed.
• Occasionally float to other clinic locations and maintain patient confidentiality.
