Job summary

Forefront Dermatology is seeking a Patient Access Representative to schedule patient appointments via phone across all clinics, update demographic and insurance information, and manage provider schedules to maximize daily productivity.

You will explain insurance policies at scheduling, deliver courteous customer service to callers, document patient concerns, and coordinate with physicians to confirm appointments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year medical office experience preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic computer functions.
• Ability to learn new software quickly.
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to type at least 40 wpm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate patient appointments via phone following protocols and templates.
• Explain insurance and financial policies when scheduling appointments.
• Provide excellent customer service to all callers by answering phones promptly and professionally.
• Accurately document patient concerns and maintain physician schedules to ensure proper scheduling and confirmations.
• Answer telephone, screen calls, take messages, and provide information as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.
