Job summary

Amgen seeks a Patient Access Liaison to support patient access and reimbursement for infused therapies. The role focuses on payer requirements, prior authorizations, and education for patients and providers, while collaborating across Market Access and Site of Care teams to ensure timely access to therapies.

The position requires advanced degrees with substantial experience in patient services, access, or reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree or equivalent in related field.
• Master’s degree with 2+ years patient services/access and reimbursement experience OR a Bachelor's with 4+ years.
• Associate’s degree with 8 years of relevant experience or high school with 10+ years.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies and rare disease exposure.
• Strong knowledge of HIPAA, coding, and billing considerations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field-based resource on patient access and reimbursement.
• Educate providers and sites on coverage pathways and prior authorization.
• Navigate insurance benefits, appeals, and denied claims management.
• Support patient and caregiver engagement through various channels.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Site of Care teams.
