Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Patient Access Liaison (PAL) to support patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers in navigating insurance coverage and reimbursement for Amgen therapies. This field-based role partners with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, and Site of Care teams to resolve access barriers and educate stakeholders on coverage pathways.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or Master’s/Bachelor’s with requisite patient services/access experience.
• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused therapies preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage complex patient situations and resolve access barriers.
• Experience working in cross-functional field teams.

Responsibilities

• Serve as resource on patient access and reimbursement for infused and specialty therapies.
• Assist patients and providers in navigating benefits, prior authorizations, and reimbursement processes.
• Support resolution of access challenges and denied claims.
• Educate on coding and billing considerations relevant to therapy access.
• Educate physician offices and sites of care on coverage pathways and billing practices.
• Investigate access challenges and escalate complex issues as needed.
