Job summary

Electromed is seeking a Patient Account Liaison to manage referrals from intake to shipping and insurance approval. You will be the main contact for patients, clinics, and CAMs, handling documentation, authorizations, and patient payment assistance with strong attention to HIPAA rules.

The role requires call-center style customer service experience, familiarity with insurance processes, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. We offer a hybrid/remote setup and a focus on patient-centric care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; degree preferred
• Extensive customer service experience with phone contact, preferably in a call center
• Substantial experience working directly with providers in healthcare or DME setting
• Strong knowledge of insurance benefits, authorizations, and payer requirements
• Experience with Medicare Part B and national payers preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA

Responsibilities

• Review and process new referrals from intake to shipping and insurance approval
• Serve as primary contact for patients, clinics, and Clinical Area Managers within territory
• Obtain payer documentation, submit and obtain insurance authorizations
• Obtain patient documents and assist with patient payment programs
• Ensure data accuracy and timely handling of referrals
