Job summary

Xeris Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Manager I for the Central region. This remote, field-based role works with patients, families, and providers to overcome barriers to starting and staying on therapy, focusing on insurer prior authorization issues and education.

You’ll coordinate payer policies and documentation, collaborating with commercial, medical, and advocacy groups. The PAM I guides patients through access processes, develops solutions, and stays current on payer

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, Business/Marketing, Nursing or related field; Advanced degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Must have a valid US-State issued driver’s license.
• Prefer a minimum of 3 years of business experience in the healthcare or biotech industry; ultra-rare disease experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients/families to navigate insurance, prior authorization, appeals, and site-of-care logistics.
• Provide education on payer policies, documentation for coverage, and disease/product information.
• Identify alternative insurance options and connect families to resources like charitable organizations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external parties to resolve access barriers; serve as regional point person for patient advocacy.
• Support caregivers and adapt communication to facilitate progress while staying within regulatory guidelines.
