Job summary

Sterlington PLLC is seeking a Patent Agent to draft and prosecute U.S. patents, especially in cellular and wireless technologies. You will interact with inventors and clients, handling meaningful portfolios with significant responsibility.

The role demands strong drafting/prosecution skills, excellent technical judgment, and the ability to translate complex technologies into clear patent claims. Remote work option supported; US-based candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Registered to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office or pursuing registration.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics.
• 2–5 years of patent preparation and prosecution experience.
• Experience with cellular and wireless technologies (LTE/5G) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. patent applications in wireless tech.
• Coordinate foreign patent prosecution with international counsel.
• Prepare responses to Office Actions and manage deadlines.
• Work with inventors to understand technologies and draft claims.
• Collaborate on patent strategy and portfolio development.
• Conduct prior art searches and analyze disclosures for prosecution.
• Translate complex disclosures into effective prosecution strategies.
• Manage matters with independence and high standards.
