Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Part-time Speech Language Pathologist to provide high-quality, virtual therapy to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual schools. The role uses webcams and an Education Management System to manage caseloads and documentation.

Responsibilities include planning individual and group therapy, ensuring compliance with IEPs, collaborating with teachers and families, and maintaining up-to-date data while adhering to data protection policies.

Qualifications

• MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology.
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• Active/valid state licensure in state of residence (Speech Pathology).
• Ability to obtain multiple state certifications and clearances as assigned.
• 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting.
• Strong technology skills and comfort with virtual platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students in a virtual environment.
• Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a remote setting.
• Be an expert on school/state policies for LiveSpeech services.
• Maintain relationships with LiveSpeech team, schools and programs.
• Review reports to ensure compliance and accuracy in documentation.
• Communicate regularly with leadership, school staff and parents/learning coaches.
• Conduct screenings and formal/informal evaluations of students’ communication needs.
• Coordinate with teachers to implement IEPs for students with speech needs.
• Maintain accurate data in the Education Management System and other software.
