Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years of fire investigation experience.
• AAS in Fire Science or related field; IAAI-CFI/NAFI-CFEI path or ability to obtain.
• Proficiency with MS Office; knowledge of CAD software a plus.

Responsibilities

• Determine origin and cause of fires in various structures and equipment.
• Secure scenes and preserve evidence while conducting investigations.
• Perform on-site forensic fire analysis, document findings, and testify as needed.
• Identify, collect, label, and preserve potential evidence items.
• Provide technical support for subrogation and litigation.
• Conduct code compliance research on relevant building and fire codes.
• Present continuing education seminars on fire-related topics.
