Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time, fully remote Pharmacist to join the Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. A valid Utah, Colorado, Montana, or Nevada license is required. Two scheduling options exist: two 10-hour shifts Fri/Sat or multiple shorter shifts across Thu/Fri/Sat.

Remote work is re-emphasized with onsite interviews as needed. The role emphasizes medication management, pharmacotherapy expertise, and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree and licensed to dispense controlled substances.
• Knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Review medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug interactions; intervene to optimize therapy.
• Oversee timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas.
• Complete regulatory and compliance training; ensure documentation of regulatory requirements.
• Identify and solve problems related to equipment, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identify process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety hazards; participate in departmental meetings.
• Support directives from pharmacy leadership and enterprise initiatives.
