Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a pharmacist to join our fully remote Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. The role focuses on medication refill authorizations for primary care clinics, with cross-training planned across other teams and strong emphasis on patient access to medications.

The position requires a pharmacist license in Utah, Colorado, Montana, or Nevada, and offers flexible scheduling with two 10-hour shifts or a mix of 4/8-hour shifts across Friday–Saturday. Benefits eligible.

Qualifications

Pharmacist degree (PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy) from an accredited institution.
Current license to practice pharmacy in the state and ability to dispense controlled substances.
Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Review medication orders for allergies, duplication, appropriateness, and interactions.
Oversee timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas, stored securely.
Complete regulatory training and ensure compliance with laws, policies, and SOPs.
Identify and solve issues related to equipment, drug availability, and staffing.
Support quality improvement, safety, and regulatory initiatives.
