Intermountain Health is seeking a part-time Pharmacist to join the Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team in a fully remote capacity. You will review orders, ensure safe and effective therapies, and collaborate with clinicians to improve patient access to medications.

The role requires active pharmacist licensure in Utah, Colorado, Montana or Nevada, with cross-state considerations. A strong focus on medication management and patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsabilités

• Review patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions; implement interventions to optimize medication use.
• Oversee and ensure medications are prepared, delivered timely, stored securely and suitable for stability and workflow.
• Complete regulatory training and ensure compliance with state/federal laws, policies, and SOPs.
• Identify problems and initiate solutions related to equipment, drug availability, staffing, and patient care.
• Suggest process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety; participate in departmental meetings with ideas.
• Support pharmacy leadership initiatives and enterprise directives; contribute to quality and efficiency efforts.
