Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication order for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interaction; makes evidence-based interventions.
• Oversees and/or ensures timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas, stored securely and appropriately.
• Completes regulatory training and maintains documentation; complies with laws, policies, procedures, and SOPs.
• Solves problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies areas for process improvement to enhance patient satisfaction and safety; participates in departmental meetings with ideas.
• Supports clinic or hospital directives and leadership initiatives across operations and customer service.
• Supports local and enterprise pharmacy leadership initiatives.
