Intermountain Health is seeking a pharmacist to join its fully remote Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. This part-time role (20 hours) supports primary care clinics across Intermountain, handling medication refill authorizations with focus on patient access to care.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Review patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions; intervene to optimize medication use.
• Oversee and/or participate in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas and stored securely and appropriately.
• Complete regulatory and compliance training; ensure documentation of requirements; stay compliant with laws and policies.
• Identify and solve problems including equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identify areas for improvement to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction; address safety hazards.
• Support clinic or hospital and system directives, including clinical, compliance, and customer service.
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership initiatives and enterprise goals
