Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a pharmacist for a fully remote, part-time role at the Refill Authorization Pharmacy Team. The position focuses on medication refill authorizations for primary care clinics across Intermountain, with future cross-training opportunities in Prior Authorization and Medication Assistance teams.

You will review orders, ensure safe dispensing, participate in quality improvement, and support regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Pharmacist license in state of practice and ability to dispense controlled substances.
Current knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs.

Responsibilities

Review medication orders for safety and appropriateness; intervene to optimize therapy.
Ensure timely preparation and delivery of medications in care areas.
Complete regulatory training and ensure documentation aligns with laws and policies.
Solve problems related to equipment, drug availability, staffing, and patient care needs.
Identify and drive process improvements to improve patient satisfaction and safety.
Support pharmacy leadership initiatives and enterprise directives.
