Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Part-Time Tier 1 Customer Service Agent to support the Training Services Team. This remote role is open to candidates across the United States and centers on bilingual English/Spanish communication and delivering outstanding customer service.

Primary duties include answering inbound calls and emails, updating records, achieving call-handling targets, and guiding volunteers. Work 4–5 days weekly with shifts in the afternoon/evening ET.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent required.
• 1 year of customer service, sales, or call center experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work with potentially difficult customers.
• Proficiency with computer applications in a fast-paced remote call center environment.
• Ability to work on a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound calls and emails from learners, instructors, and organizations; resolve inquiries.
• Use computer systems and job aids to update records and document resolutions.
• Handle basic inquiries such as account maintenance and class information.
• Maintain daily production standards: AHT, Calls/Email per hour, quality.
• Triage complex problems and route callers as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
