Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP seeks a Paralegal Manager to administer the firmwide Paralegal Program, drive efficiency, and foster professional development. The role supports complex tort and high‑volume litigation teams with leadership across staffing, training, and productivity improvements.

The ideal candidate will direct large paralegal teams, collaborate with recruiting, and implement automation to enhance workflows while maintaining the firm’s standards of integrity and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in legal or Complex Torts.
• Minimum 3 years of Paralegal experience in corporate, regulatory, or Complex Tort litigation.
• Strong judgement, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization and communication skills.
• Experience with performance management and policy enforcement.
• Emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Proficient in project management tools and data interpretation.
• Collaborative approach and adaptability to evolving business demands.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage paralegals to ensure delivery of excellent services to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with leadership and cross‑functionally to provide support to the Practice Professional Program.
• Oversee paralegal work allocation and hiring recommendations.
• Coordinate regular paralegal firmwide meetings and communications.
• Participate in onboarding of new hires and integration into the firm’s workflows.
• Develop training programs with Practice Specialty Center Leaders and the Professional Development team.
• Support performance evaluations and compensation discussions with cross‑functional partners.
• Monitor productivity metrics and identify efficiency improvements.
