Job summary

Husch Blackwell LLP is seeking a Paralegal Manager to oversee the firmwide Paralegal Program, driving efficiency and professional development for large multi‑jurisdictional matters. This role supports the Complex Tort Strategic Business Unit and supervises teams handling high‑volume litigation.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of legal management, 3+ years paralegal experience in corporate or complex tort matters, and strong project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in legal studies, business administration, or related field; or combination of education and commensurate work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of management experience in legal or Complex Tort matters.
• Minimum 3 years of Paralegal experience in corporate, regulatory, or Complex Tort litigation matters.
• Demonstrate strong judgement, organizational, and time‑management skills.
• High level of professional integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization and communication skills.
• Experience with performance management and policy enforcement.
• Exhibit high emotional intelligence, discretion, and sound judgment.
• Proficient in project management tools and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Lead paralegal teams to deliver excellent services to stakeholders.
• Oversee paralegal work allocation and hiring recommendations.
• Coordinate onboarding and integrations of new hires with firm culture and systems.
• Develop and deliver training programs with practice specialty leaders.
• Support annual performance evaluations and compensation recommendations.
• Monitor adherence to policies, standards and ethical guidelines."
• Improve workflows and implement efficiency initiatives.
