Job summary

MSD in the United States is seeking a dynamic Rare Disease Account Specialist to drive PAH strategy, build relationships with providers, and support formulary access across California/Nevada.

This field-based role covers Central California and Nevada, including Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, and surrounding areas, with a focus on strategic engagement and compliant operations.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in healthcare industry.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Keen interpersonal skills to engage senior stakeholders, including thought leaders and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage overall experience for stakeholders in target accounts and act as cross-functional contact.
• Plan quarterly strategic sessions with stakeholders to align objectives and tactics.
• Coordinate execution of account strategies and track progress against goals.
• Provide disease and product information to approved care-team members and support patient access.
• Educate providers on patient support programs and address coverage issues.
• Build provider-provider relationships and collaborate with HQ to plan events.
