Job summary

Merck & Co. is seeking a Rare Disease Account Specialist to drive PAH market presence in Central California and Nevada.

You will build relationships with providers and care teams, align account strategies, and support formulary access in targeted territories including Modesto, Fresno, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, Ventura, Burbank and Las Vegas. The role covers account management, care-team education, and ecosystem partnerships, with a focus on compliance and patient care outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years sales experience or related healthcare experience.
• Equivalent experience can be healthcare/scientific field, marketing, or military.
• Strong communication and strategic account management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall customer experience within target accounts and build relationships with providers and staff.
• Develop deep understanding of account objectives and stakeholder networks to generate strategic insights.
• Plan and conduct quarterly strategic planning sessions with key stakeholders to align on objectives and tactics.
• Coordinate execution of account strategies and track progress against goals.
• Solicit feedback from stakeholders to become a trusted resource.
