Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Outsourced Accounting Manager in the Life Sciences & Biotech sector. This role oversees all outsourced accounting functions for a portfolio of biotech clients, providing expert financial guidance and strategic oversight.

You will lead a team, develop financial strategies aligned with client objectives, and present detailed reports to stakeholders. The position offers fully remote capabilities and comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision plans

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a similar role, preferably within the life sciences or biotech industry.
• CPA certification and/or Big 4 public accounting experience is a strong plus, not required.
• Strong understanding of the financial needs and challenges of the life sciences and biotech industry.
• Experience with outsourced accounting and business process outsourcing (BPO).
• Extensive knowledge of audit processes and financial regulations.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical and medical device companies is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills, with a track record of leading successful teams.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information to a non‑financial audience.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all outsourced accounting functions for our clients in the life sciences and biotech industry.
• Act as the primary contact for client inquiries and concerns, providing expert advice and solutions.
• Develop and implement effective financial strategies that align with our clients' business objectives.
• Prepare and present detailed financial reports and analysis to clients and stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
• Work closely with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Assist in the audit process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
• Provide financial advisory services, helping clients to make informed decisions about their financial future.
• Lead and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering an environment of continuous learning and development.
