Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking an Outpatient Surgery Outpatient Coder to review, analyze, and assign codes for hospital outpatient procedures, wound care, and observation. The role emphasizes accurate coding using ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS guidelines.

Qualified candidates have HS Diploma or GED and hospital coding experience; RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or related certifications are preferred. Remote coding experience is a plus, with on-site collaboration at the facility.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Hospital coding experience required.
• Experience coding at a multi-hospital organization and remote coding preferred.
• Certification options (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CCS-P, CPC/CPC-A) are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on guidelines for outpatient medical record documentation, including ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS,
• Primary coding responsibility is Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care and Observation.
