Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a hospital coder to review, analyze, and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS codes for outpatient medical records. Primary focus areas include Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care and Observation.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; hospital coding experience is required, with remote coding experience preferred and certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC considered an asset.

Qualifications

• Hospital coding experience required (ICD-10-CM & CPT-4/HCPCS).
• Remote coding experience preferred for this role.
• Experience coding in a multi-hospital organization.

Responsibilities

• Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes for outpatient medical record documentation to include ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS codes.
• Primary coding responsibility is Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care and Observation.
