Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a hospital coder to review, analyze, and assign ICD-10-CM and CPT-4/HCPCS codes for outpatient medical records. Primary focus areas include Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care and Observation.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED; hospital coding experience is required, with remote coding experience preferred and certifications such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC considered an asset.

Reviews, analyzes, and assigns codes based on appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for outpatient medical record documentation to include, but not limited to: medical, diagnostic and surgical documentation for assignment of the correct ICD-10-CM and /or CPT-4 HCPCS codes. Primary coding responsibility is Hospital Outpatient Surgery, Wound Care and Observation.
