Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Minimum 2+ years hospital coding experience.
• Proficiency in Same Day Surgery and Observation coding.
• Strong remote work skills and time management.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Assign discharge dispositions.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
• Communicate coding issues to relevant teams.
• Adhere to AHIMA code of ethics and professional standards.
