Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required (RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC).

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting requirements.
• Maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate and meet productivity standards.
