Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking an Outpatient Coding Auditor for a remote nationwide role. You will conduct quality reviews, audits, and provide actionable feedback to improve coding accuracy and documentation quality across departments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in professional medical coding, AHIMA/AAPC credentials or eligibility, and proficiency with ICD-10-CM/PCS, with experience in Cerner, EPIC, or 3M 360 Encompass. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in professional medical coding/reimbursement
• National auditing credential (prefer CPMA) or ability to attain within 12 months
• Working knowledge of ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS; medical terminology and health record content
• Understanding of coding guidelines and relevant references for audits
• Experience with Multi-Specialty Outpatient Clinic for Facility and Pro-fee services preferred
• Ability to work across multiple client systems and MS Office applications

Responsibilities

• Perform quality reviews and audits to ensure standards are met
• Coordinate with department managers to implement policies
• Create clear audit findings and recommendations in reports
• Provide education and feedback to coding staff on audit results
• Identify documentation issues impacting coding accuracy and communicate improvements
• Offer continuing education to coders on coding changes and trends
