Datavant, a data collaboration platform, seeks an Outpatient Auditing Specialist. This fully remote role focuses on coding quality, external payer reviews, and educational audits. You will educate teams, address complex issues, and help shape healthcare data use from your home workspace.

The role requires 5+ years in outpatient coding/auditing, CCS/RHIA/RHIT, and a high accuracy standard. Epic and Cerner experience are essential in a distributed team environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Outpatient Facility coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Provides concise rationale with references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education through the auditing process.
• Acts in a professional, efficient, and positive manner.
• Adheres to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Maintains customer-service focus with professionalism and dependability.
• Demonstrates high complexity in decision making and strong organizational skills.
