Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a full-time Florida Licensed Outpatient Coder to abstract, code, and interpret clinical information from medical records while ensuring regulatory compliance in a remote work environment.

Responsibilities include abstracting and coding inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records with proper sequencing; applying reimbursement rules; and maintaining a 95%+ quality rating while upholding HIPAA standards.

Qualifications

• Florida Licensed Outpatient Coder certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of medical coding experience.
• Expert knowledge of NCCI/OCE billing edits and hospital CVIR coding and billing.
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code clinical information from inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records, ensuring accurate sequencing of diagnoses and procedures.
• Utilize coding principles and reimbursement expertise to assign appropriate codes and maintain compliance with external regulations.
• Track productivity and maintain a quality rating of 95% or higher while adhering to company policies, including HIPAA compliance.
