Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Coder to abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, delivering detailed case summaries with ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 codes. This remote Florida-based position focuses on SDS, Observation, and as-needed ED/Diagnostic/Ancillary records.

The role requires at least 1 year of outpatient coding experience and a valid coding certification (CPC, COC, CPC-P, CRC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA). High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of outpatient coding experience.
• At least one coding certification required (CPC, COC, CPC-P, CRC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, or RHIA).

Responsibilities

• Code abstracts from medical records into Epic and 3M 360 to provide detailed case summaries.
• Identify diagnoses and procedures per ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines.
• Follow government/payer requirements for coded data and APC assignments.
• Code SDS, Observation, ED, Diagnostic, and Ancillary records as needed.
• Maintain documentation quality and accuracy across cases.
