Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle DBA Lead to drive end-to-end on-prem to AWS migrations. You will own the migration strategy, set up Oracle on EC2, and orchestrate cutovers with cross-functional teams. Strong RAC, RMAN, Data Pump, and GoldenGate skills are essential.

The role requires deep Oracle expertise, excellent communication, and the ability to coordinate with security, network, and application teams across the program lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to AWS or other clouds.
• Strong knowledge of RMAN, Data Pump, and GoldenGate.
• Proficient in Oracle RAC, Exadata, and security controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration from on-prem to AWS, target EC2 rehost.
• Assess versions, editions, storage, interfaces, and DR configurations.
• Define migration approach, prerequisites, and cutover steps.
• Build Oracle environments on AWS EC2, configure network, storage, and tuning.
• Perform schema/data migration with RMAN/Data Pump/GoldenGate.
• Coordinate mock migrations, production cutovers, and post-cutover support.
