Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience including production support and migration responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS (rehost to Oracle DB on EC2).
• Perform discovery and assessment of versions, editions, OS, storage, interfaces, and HA/DR configurations.
• Define migration approach including prerequisites, sizing, cutoff, rollback, validation, and handover.
• Build and configure Oracle environments on AWS EC2 with installation, creation, tuning, backups and security.
• Execute schema and data migration using RMAN, Data Pump, transportable tablespaces, Data Guard or GoldenGate.
• Plan mock migrations, production cutovers, validation, and post-cutover stabilization.
• Provide limited-duration hypercare and root-cause analysis post-migration.
• Create migration runbooks, validation checklists, rollback procedures, and SOPs.
• Coordinate with application, cloud, network, security, storage, OS, and business teams.
• Provide technical leadership for complex incidents and knowledge transfer.
