Job summary

Lever, Inc. is seeking an Operations Strategy Associate to analyze data, improve processes, and build scalable workflows across Operations, Product, Engineering, and Customer Success. You’ll lead strategic initiatives and own projects in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.

You will develop predictive models, evaluate technologies such as AI, and oversee process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer experience while driving cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional or internship experience in Strategy, Business Operations, Product Operations, Program Management, Consulting, Business Analytics, or another cross-functional environment.
• Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems through process improvement, workflow design, automation, or scalable systems.
• Strong data analysis capabilities with hands-on experience using SQL, Python, or comparable analytical tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics and align stakeholders across teams.
• Deep curiosity and a first-principles approach to problem-solving.
• Hands-on, investigative mindset with comfort testing products and validating assumptions.
• Resourcefulness and willingness to take initiative across problems and responsibilities.
• Ownership mindset and initiative without a predefined playbook.

Responsibilities

• Analyze operational data to identify trends, bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Build dashboards, reports, analytical models, and other tools that support informed business decisions.
• Research, evaluate, and implement technologies such as AI solutions and automation tools.
• Design and improve processes, workflows, and operating procedures to increase efficiency and customer experience.
• Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives from planning through execution.
• Identify root causes of operational challenges and develop scalable solutions.
• Support initiatives aimed at improving payment processes and customer workflows.
• Develop predictive or analytical models to help teams identify risks and take proactive action.
