Job summary

California ChangeLawyers is seeking an Operations Associate to lead the day-to-day operations of the Immigration Legal Fellowship Program and support organizational workflows. The role blends programmatic support, administration, and stakeholder outreach to advance the organization's mission.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a completely remote, mission-driven nonprofit environment.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years nonprofit program operations or related field.
• Strong organizational and project management with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and be a self-starter.
• Comfortable in a fully remote team environment.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace, Zoom, and CRM/grant databases preferred.
• Experience with social media and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Immigration Legal Fellowship Program including hiring, capacity building and training calendar.
• Participate in fellowship meetings with coordinating orgs, funders, and stakeholders.
• Ensure successful implementation of all fellowship convenings.
• Support grantmaking processes such as preparing agreements and tracking deliverables.
• Provide general administrative support and maintain program records.
• Deliver scheduling and administrative support across the organization and coordinate events.
• Assist with office management and outreach efforts as capacity allows.
