Job summary

Lisinski Law Firm, a humanitarian immigration practice, seeks an Operations Associate to bridge legal operations and client services. You will coordinate between operations and legal teams, triage client inquiries, maintain scripts and resources, and ensure firm policies and USCIS guidance are consistently applied.

The role requires a J.D. and active bar, 3–6+ years of immigration experience, and familiarity with case management software.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-approved law school and active state bar in good standing.
• Prior immigration experience required.
• 3–6+ years of immigration experience.
• Experience with case management software preferred.
• Support mission of helping families stay together.
• Strong computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Dropbox, MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Handle client escalations independently and resolve issues or escalate to legal leadership as needed.
• Escalate firm risk and policy questions to legal leadership for review and resolution.
• Ensure scripts, FAQs, and client communication processes are accurate and up-to-date.
• Surface refund or contract issues to appropriate owners and route sensitive client escalations appropriately.
• Partner with Staff Attorneys to maintain up-to-date legal guidance and document USCIS policy changes within workflows.
• Meet established goals while supporting firmwide operational priorities.
• Coordinate legal training and reinforce new guidance across teams.
• Perform legal research on immigration law topics.
• Serve as the Legal SME for operational projects and process mapping.
• Support process documentation and continuous improvement within the department.
