Job summary

Open Energy Transition is seeking a Business Operations Manager to own our operational management system, including ISO27001, governance, risk, and vendor processes for a distributed, remote team.

You will drive audits, documentation, and improvements, collaborating with senior leadership to reduce administrative burden and scale governance as we grow. A strong, proactive operations leader will help maintain compliance and operational excellence across the organization.

Qualifications

• 8 years minimum experience in business operations, governance, or similar roles.
• Experience maintaining governance documentation and compliance records.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organisational skills.
• Experience owning ISO management systems and supporting external audits.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve operational processes, documentation, and governance processes.
• Manage and maintain company risk registers, ensuring risks are documented, reviewed, and tracked.
• Coordinate and drive company-wide operational initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Work closely with Department Heads to improve operational effectiveness and reduce administrative overhead.
• Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies, automation, and process improvement.
• Own and maintain ISO27001 management system and support audits and renewals.
• Coordinate internal ISO audits, evidence collection, and corrective actions.
• Manage vendor assessment, onboarding, and reviews per ISO requirements.
• Maintain operational documentation and knowledge management systems.
• Support business continuity planning and resilience initiatives.
