Job summary

NexTech is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide remote and on-site technical support to end users in Detroit and surrounding areas. You will diagnose and resolve issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, phones, servers, and network connectivity, and log tickets from identification to resolution.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of computer support experience, MSP familiarity, and certifications such as A+, N+, or MCITP.

Qualifications

• 2+ years computer support experience preferred.
• MSP experience preferred.
• Certifications in MCITP: Desktop, A+, N+ are advantageous.
• Associates degree or higher in technology or equivalent experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and onsite technical support to end users.
• Open and log trouble tickets through resolution.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows OS, software, and line-of-business apps.
• Create detailed documentation of issues and steps taken to remediate them.
• Build relationships with clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Troubleshoot and remediate hardware and software systems; prevent future problems.
