Job summary

Merck & Co., Inc. is seeking an Oncology Sales Specialist to drive territory growth in the Charleston, SC area with travel to Savannah, GA and surrounding regions. You will educate clinicians, build relationships, and execute plans to meet sales goals.

You will engage multidisciplinary teams, understand practice patterns, and communicate data-driven value of oncology therapies while collaborating with local leadership and field colleagues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of sales experience or 10+ years equivalent healthcare experience.
• 2+ years of oncology field-based experience selling oncology therapeutics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel ~25%.
• Residence in or near the district.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed sales goals for the geography with the team.
• Meet with stakeholders to understand practice structure and needs.
• Communicate patient-centered value of oncology products to customers.
• Understand cancer pathways and treatment options and apply to account plans.
• Analyze buying environment and distribution channels to identify opportunities.
• Develop short- and long-term plans with the Oncology Customer Team Leader.
