Job summary

Merck is seeking an Oncology Sales Representative to grow the Lexington, KY territory, including Eastern Kentucky. You will engage with oncology customers, educate stakeholders on Merck Oncology products, and strive to meet or exceed sales goals in your geography.

This field-based role requires travel 10-15% and a Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of sales experience (or a high school diploma with 8+ years in healthcare/oncology contexts).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with at least 6 years of sales experience OR a high school diploma with at least 8 years of equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel and reside near the district with valid driver's license.
• Travel 10-15% including overnight travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Attain or exceed assigned sales goals for the Kentucky geography.
• Collaborate with territory counterparts to ensure a seamless customer experience and understand practice structure.
• Communicate a patient-centered rationale for Merck Oncology products in indicated uses.
• Understand multidisciplinary care workflows and impact of options on patients.
• Analyze trends in a complex buying environment and coordinate with GPOs/wholesalers/pharmacies.
• Develop and execute short- and long-term plans with local team and district leader.
