Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Sales Director – Oncology Provider to expand the specialty footprint in community-based oncology offices across a defined geography. You will pursue new physician practice customers and help integrate drug distribution with technology solutions to support oncology practices.

The role is remote with up to 50% travel and reports to the Director of Sales and Business Development. A strong background in healthcare sales and oncology provider relations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or commiserate experience preferred; graduate degree preferred
• Minimum eight years of healthcare sales and complex account/relationship management experience, including at least three years within oncology physician office
• Experience with customers of and understanding of oncology provider office business
• Experience with contracting, demand realization, and GPO pull through
• Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to design win-win strategies for Cardinal Health and the client base
• Self-starter; able to determine, independently, solutions that ensure business objectives are achieved within acceptable tolerances
• Demonstrated matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong executive presence, presentation and communication capabilities
• Ability to travel 50% within the territory; work from home when not traveling

Responsibilities

• Identify/target, build pipeline and close new business in defined geography
• Respond to hot leads from Marketing or GPO initiatives to generate interest
• Collaborate with deal modeling, finance and proposal team to develop proposals and execute new business
• Deliver well designed, compelling sales presentations to executive customers
• Manage executive relationships with professionals
• Develop territory business plans; communicate updates to stakeholders
• Demonstrate professional development; stay updated on industry changes
• Participate in and lead sales training programs
• Mentor junior sales team members
• Represent Cardinal Health at industry events
• Develop relationships with pharmaceutical company counterparts for mutual benefit
• Other duties as assigned
