Job summary

Cardinal Health is hiring an Account Director – Oncology Provider (Director level) to expand the oncology footprint across the East Coast via new product lines and technology services. The role is remote with up to 50% travel, reporting to the Director of Account Management, and collaborating with Sales Executives and Inside Sales to drive retention and growth.

You will lead consultative sales, develop territory plans, and build executive relationships to grow market share in community oncology

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or commiserate experience preferred; graduate degree preferred
• Minimum eight years of healthcare sales and complex account/relationship management experience
• Experience with oncology practice business and contracting, demand realization, and GPO pull through
• Excellent planning, forecasting, financial and negotiation skills
• Proven ability to design win-win strategies for Cardinal Health and the client base
• Self-starter able to independently determine solutions to achieve business objectives
• Matrix management skills; ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong executive presence, presentation and communication capabilities
• Ability to travel 50% within the territory; work from home when not traveling

Responsibilities

• Grow market share and profitability through consultative sales strategies
• Deliver well designed, compelling sales presentations to executive customers
• Manage executive relationships with a wide range of professionals
• Develop territory business plans; communicate updates to stakeholders
• Manage key accounts effectively within geographic regions
• Mentor junior sales team members and lead training when asked
• Maintain CRM records to track business and retention/expansion
• Provide competitive intelligence to stakeholders
• Represent Cardinal Health at industry events and with pharmaceutical counterparts
