Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline seeks a Patient Access Manager to serve as the field-based SPOC helping providers and patients with coverage, reimbursement, and support across the Oncology portfolio. You will guide onboarding and ongoing treatment journeys, including enrolment in PAP and coordinating with back-office teams for BI/BV and PA tracking.

The role requires 3+ years in access/reimbursement fields, willingness to travel up to 20%, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years experience in field reimbursement, hub case management, patient experience programs, helping patients and providers navigate insurance verification, prior authorization requirements, and access criteria.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnights.
• Valid driver's license.
• Residence near territory within 30 miles preferred.
• RN license and BSN preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SPOC for patients, caregivers, and HCP staff, providing approved oncology care information and education on benefit discussions and program resources.
• Educate providers on payer coverage, coding, and payment policies using approved materials; guide offices through enrollment and appeal processes.
• Document interactions and manage cases in Salesforce Health Cloud / CRM per program standards; ensure HIPAA compliance and data integrity.
• Coordinate transfers to Specialty Pharmacy, Medical Information, REMS vendors, and Benefits Specialists as needed.
• Identify access barriers and escalate complex issues to specialist access function and leadership.
• Maintain strict separation between patient-facing and account-facing activities; adhere to SOPs and privacy policies.
