Qualifications

• Must have experience with ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT coding in inpatient or outpatient settings.
• Knowledge of official coding guidelines and ethical coding standards.
• Certification to be obtained within 6 months: RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, or CIRCC.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPCS systems.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and assign inpatient and outpatient codes accurately.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and ethical standards.
• Remain current with coding classification systems.
