Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking an Inpatient Coding Specialist to perform inpatient coding, DRG assignment and validation, ensuring timeliness and accuracy. You will work with the Coding Manager, CDI team, and other departments, utilizing ICD-10-CM/PCS and the 3M Encoder.

Qualifications include 3–5 years inpatient coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC certification, and strong medical terminology knowledge. Remote work is allowed, with a suitable home office and privacy measures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years inpatient coding experience.
• Advanced training in ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT and APC.
• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
• Ability to read medical records and extract coding information.
• Remote work capable with privacy and security compliance.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient records with DRG assignment and validation.
• Maintain accuracy and timeliness of coding.
• Collaborate with CDI, Business Office, and Case Management teams.
• Utilize 3M Encoder to classify records per ICD-10-CM/PCS.
• Review outpatient coding knowledge as needed.
