Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Leader for Oil & Gas and Chemical to drive growth in the United States. You will identify and develop opportunities upstream, build executive relationships with key stakeholders, and enable sales to convert opportunities into projects.

The role requires deep market knowledge, proven hunting skills, and the ability to influence strategy while working across Electrification, Motion, and Automation portfolios. Travel ~40-60% nationwide.

Qualifications

• The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years in business development, strategic sales, or market development.
• Proven Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, or Chemical sector experience.
• Solid understanding of industrial power distribution, electrification, or automation technologies.
• Ability to hunt and create a pipeline from new opportunities.
• Experience engaging executive-level stakeholders and CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ABB's Oil & Gas and Chemical growth strategy across the United States.
• Identify, qualify, and develop opportunities before procurement stages.
• Build executive relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.
• Establish ABB thought leadership through conferences and industry engagement.
• Provide market intelligence to the sales organization.
• Coordinate with district sales teams to transition opportunities for execution.
• Collaborate on cross-business opportunities across Electrification, Motion, and Automation.
• Serve as Voice of the Market to shape ABB strategy.
