Job summary

ABB is seeking a Strategic Segment Leader for Oil & Gas and Chemical in the United States. You will drive growth, qualify opportunities early, and build executive relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.

In this role, you will coordinate across ABB portfolios, provide market insights to the sales team, and help shape strategy through customer input. Travel 40-60% within the U.S. is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant experience in business development or strategic sales.
• Demonstrated Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, or Chemical industry experience.
• Solid understanding of industrial power distribution, electrification, and automation.
• Proven hunting skills with the ability to create a pipeline from new opportunities.
• Experience engaging executive-level customer stakeholders and CRM proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ABB's Oil & Gas and Chemical segment growth strategy across the United States.
• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic growth opportunities before projects enter formal procurement.
• Build executive-level relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.
• Establish ABB thought leadership through conferences, trade associations, and industry engagement.
• Provide market intelligence and insights to the sales organization.
• Partner with district sales teams to transition opportunities for execution.
