Job summary

ABB seeks a Strategic Segment Leader for Oil & Gas and Chemical to drive growth across the United States. You will identify opportunities early, build executive-level relationships with owners, EPCs, and integrators, and enable sales with market insights and cross-team collaboration.

The role demands deep industry knowledge, proven hunting and pipeline creation, and travel up to 40-60% across the U.S. This is a leadership-focused, strategic business development position with ABB.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
• 5+ years of business development, strategic sales, or market development experience.
• Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refining, Midstream, or Chemical industry experience.
• Understanding of industrial power distribution, electrification, automation, or related technologies.
• Experience engaging executive-level customer stakeholders.
• Salesforce and CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute ABB's Oil & Gas and Chemical segment growth strategy across the United States.
• Identify, qualify, and develop strategic growth opportunities before projects enter formal procurement stages.
• Build executive-level relationships with owner/operators, EPCs, consultants, OEMs, and integrators.
• Establish ABB thought leadership through conferences, trade associations, and industry engagement.
• Provide market intelligence to the sales organization and partner with district sales teams.
